An Impressive and Meaningful Work.
I am dearly impressed with the thought and collaboration it must have taken for a consensus from the author, the publisher, the artist, and the photographer. I believe this cover selection will be a winning choice on every level because it immediately addresses the universal reality of Dinwiddie County. The reality was, is, and will continue to be the people of Dinwiddie themselves, their common strife and absolute need for cooperation as they struggled to survive and grow inside a foreign and hostile environment. The generations did it for themselves, for one another and for each new generation to take their proper place in Dinwiddie history. They did it, not because it was easy to do. It was quite the opposite. They did it because it was the right thing to do. The people were sometimes knocked and sometimes slammed to their knees in the manifestation but the corporate strength of the people of Dinwiddie County created a lasting and loving tribute to their own past, their own present, and their own future.
